Mouse and rat riddance
Both of these rodents can easily find a way into your property, aiming to nest in your loft or under your floorboards.
When entering your property, a mouse only needs to dig a hole of 6mm diameter to get through, alongside rats, only needing a diameter of 15mm. Therefore it is important to note that both of these animals can carry, and transmit many diseases than can be harmful to humans. They will also gnaw through various materials including wood, carpets and electrical wires, so it is essential that we do all we can to prevent and when necessary remove them from our properties.
A few mouse facts
-
Weight is around 25g, and a length of 60-90mm. Tail length of 100mm.

-
They are noisy when they are moving, as they walk on "tip toes"

Some rat facts

DIY control of rodents is possible using good quality snap traps or rodent baits available from many retailers.
